Be Here Now.

Be Here Now.
This image is now taped to the door of my office so you can see it when you walk in, a reminder as much for myself as my clients.
When I lay hands on a client, I am anchoring myself into my heart, into my womb, into our touch.
I practice witnessing. Softening my gaze—allowing my vision to blur and swirl the lines and definitions of your body.
To me, in the hour or so we have together, you are not bound by the limits set by your skin. You are expansive. Singing with your silence, your breath, or your tears. I hum along to your tune with the summation of all of me: my breath, my attention, my hands holding your flesh. Our internal songs are in resonance.
We Are Here Now.

During body work or meditation, it can be hard to calm the mind and turn to center; to Be Here Now.
A helpful mantra/imagery can be “I Let Go”. I like to picture a dove carrying away the thought I don’t need right now, for example: a to do list, and giving gratitude as I watch it fly away.
And, with practice, we can begin to discern between to-do-lists, shoulds, shames, and what is our Truth coming up from our body’s tissues. This is often messages from the subconcious, to the conscious.
Are you feeling unworthy of love because you haven’t done x-y-z? Allow this sensation to arrive in its fullest before graciously sending it away.
I’ve thought that healing had to be profound. Like I had to uncover a suppressed abuse hiding in the deepest muscles of my body for any healing to be real.
In reality, giving myself grace for the things that seem the littlest, the things that compounded for years, are what can bring the most impressive moments of relief.
Cry the big cry for not taking the chicken out to thaw when your mom asked you to, for taking an extra $10 from your grandmas wallet when you only asked for $15, or for breaking your little sisters toy.
Feel. Forgive. Let Go. Love. Repeat. As often as you need to, I’m here to be your witness.
Let’s connect in real, meaningful ways—by receiving healing touch.
in serendipity and joy,
